Joining the cafes in the CBD area, Ivory Coffee is a strong contender in terms of its specialty coffee. In terms of food, they do have an interesting yet specialised selection of food items as well. Don’t expect to find an extensive variety though, but good enough… we feel.
So we were in the Jalan Bukit Ho Swee neighbourhood and decided to have our weekend brunch at Sin Lee Foods. Its name itself strikes a stark difference from the other cafes in Singapore, insinuating something so raw and traditional. Yet their food items scream otherwise. It appears they do come up with new food items / menu every now and then.
Few years ago, we went to Hong Kong for a vacation and travelled through mountains and seas just to get to sink our teeth into one of Tai Cheong Bakery’s egg tarts. Their egg tarts have been locally and globally recognised as the best in Hong Kong since decades ago! We were at the branch at 35 Lyndhurst Terrace, somewhere in the Central region of Hong Kong Island.
Located opposite one of our favourite waffles place – The Cold Pantry, Old Hen Coffee Bar is a cosy little setting for some good coffee and food. Despite it being a coffee bar, it has more food items than you would have expected. But! Our focus today is not on the food, but on the awesomely good bottled coffee.
