Did you know? Chir Chir is actually pronounced as ‘Chee-ray Chee-ray’, and not ‘Chur Chur’ like most people would.
Korean Fried Chicken chains have hit Singapore for quite awhile already. So we decided to check Chir Chir out. We went on a weekday afternoon to avoid the queue.
Was really impressed with this special tong that is shaped somewhat like a claw.
To help you keep your hands clean, you can use it to grab onto a piece of chicken – like a claw would. Then, you can use the regular fork to tear the meat off for your easy consumption.
We were spoilt for choices looking at the menu, but we quickly settled on the spicy BBQ roasted chicken because it just sounded so good.
You would be shocked at the price, but look at what arrived at our table moments later. It was quite a big portion, and it took three of us to finish it.
It came on a hot plate, served with baked potato with sour cream, a hard boiled egg and some salsa salad on the side. The meat was tender, and evenly marinated. Look at it, glistening with flavour and just waiting to be devoured.
To my utmost pleasure, the spice level was legit as well! Spicy food lovers, this is for you.
We also ordered the Mac and Cheese dish.
Came in a small pan, but the cheesy goodness was unbelievable.
Would definitely go back to Chir Chir to try more of their dishes.
Would advise a group gathering there so that you can try a variety of their signature dishes.
For the Korean food lovers out there. Be sure to check out Mr Churro Singapore if you are in Orchard.
