Coast and Company – a little gem in the midst of private housing estate in the Siglap area, is a refreshing break amidst the cafe scene in Singapore. Opened by the same people behind Loysel’s Toy, Chye Seng Huat Hardware, Papa Palheta started off as a solely coffee-roasting and wholesale business and to date, owns four cafes – three prior mentioned and one in Malaysia. It wasn’t the easiest cafe to spot, since we literally drove rounds before we realised it was there all along.
Looking for a cafe in Singapore within minutes from town but away from the hustle bustle? Tucked in the old River Valley Swimming Complex, Fabulous Baker Boy is the answer. This location holds many memories, so it was nice being able to go there, relax and enjoy a nice meal. And as the name suggests, this cafe/bakery is serves fabulous food and cakes.
Located amidst the greens in Bishan Park 2, Canopy Garden Dining is situated directly opposite the Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 food market at block 338. I love how the doors are made of clear glass, allowing the natural rays of light stream into the cafe while you are surrounded by pretty green bushes.
Located close to Lavender Food Square, 20F Specialty Coffeehouse officially opened their doors in November 2015. This new cafe in Singapore is easy to spot, given its modern decor amongst the row of old shophouses.
The brew bar is strategically placed right at the door where you can see the barristers hard at work, putting together your next cup of coffee. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the coffee beans used were from Liberty Coffee – one of our favourite coffee roasters in Singapore. The coffee, most certainly did not disappoint.
We love waffles! I mean, what’s not to love? Just imagine the sweet buttery aroma, crisp yet soft, sweet and salty at the same time . . .topped with ice-cream or salted egg yolk sauce, even chicken!
