What to eat in Singapore? New cafes are opening in every nook and corner of Singapore. That’s cause Singaporeans love to eat and we will travel for good food! Look at the snaking queue at You Huak White Bee Hoon in Sembawang, Hai Di Lao at IMM, we’re even willing to queue for Ichiran in Japan! No wonder these new brunch places are opening in new and old estates, with or without a train station near it. Here’s a little list of cafes that we think is worth a visit this 2016.
Hong Kong’s very own The Coffee Academics (TCA) has finally opened their flagship cafe in Singapore! Being big fans of Hong Kong food, we just had to check The Coffee Academics Singapore out. Located at Scotts Square-Orchard, the cafe was very easy to find. Once there, we were greeted by a very enthusiastic team of staff – which is of course a sign of good service.
Newly launched cafe in Singapore – The Populus Coffee & Food Co. is fast moving up the ranks of hipster cafes in Singapore thanks to their contemporary feel, beautifully plated dishes and good service.
Located close to the cross junction of Neil Road and Cantonment Road, it is easy to spot if you come from the Outram MRT station (purple line). Any other modes of transportations will require more willpower as there are so many hipster cafes around that you might get distracted.
Never been a fan of cupcakes. Probably cause we’ve never found one that was worth the calories.
We were greeted by rows and rows of beautiful cupcakes and assorted cakes. We thought, perhaps this could be where our faith in cupcakes will be restored.
We popped by PoMo recently to try out the much raved about waffles at Montana Singapore. Had quite a hard time locating the cafe based on the address provided online and on PoMo’s store directory. Alas! They had moved!
After circling level 1 twice, we caught glimpse of the signage on the second floor. What luck! They had just reopened a day before. Thank goodness the trip was not in vain.
