Longshan Temple Station
Chen Ji Intestine & Oyster Vermicelli Store
We find this store’s oyster and intestine vermicelli better than Ay-chung’s (阿宗). Located within walking distance from Longshan Temple station, you can have your lunch here before heading to Longshan Temple and Bopiliao Historical Block for your architectural feast.

Sun Yat Sen Memorial
The Master Spicy Noodle
This was so good that we just had to have it again. Mala spicy noodles served with a bowl of beef in mala soup and a small dish of duck blood (if you’re not a fan, you can request to swap it for fried tofu skin). The noodles are perrrrfect, cooked to perfection, a lil like mochi noodles even. To avoid queueing like crazy, travel a lil further to Sun Yat Sen memorial station and walk 4 min via Exit 1 to the Yanji Street outlet. Beats queuing for an hour at the Zhongshan outlet🤭 You’re welcome!
Noodles come with a side dish of duck blood. It tastes like a stubborn piece of jelly. If you’re not a fan, you can opt to change that to fried beancurd skin as pictured below.
They do have a clear soup non-spicy version too.
Address: No. 6-1號, Lane 137, Yanji Street, Da’an District, Taipei City, Taiwan 106 (The Zhongshan outlet would usually be more packed/crowded)

11.30 am to 9.30 pm Sat and Sun
We didn’t have high hopes for this dessert place initially, especially after reading the negative reviews. Fate brought us to Sun Yat Sen Memorial station and we decided to give it a try anyway. And boy, the famous marble cube cake was surprisingly good! It was soft and moist, plus it wasn’t too sweet despite the lava filling and the marble topping.
We also tried the Valrhona choc Mille crepe and that was fantastic too. Not too sweet, and the layers were so creamy and dense and addictive😍 Calories well spent for us, and we were thankful! 😄😚😋
PS: They are located just across the road from Street Churros🤓
